Autumn rain and a dishwasher that starts leaving water

The first wet week

San Francisco's autumn rain arrives on streets that spent the summer in fog and wind, not in a long dry bake. Gutters fill, entry mats stay damp, and a kitchen on the west or south side of the city can feel colder than it did in September. A dishwasher that used to finish empty may start holding a shallow pool in the tub. That change is worth writing down. It is not, by itself, proof of a failed pump, a blocked line, or a visit you have already booked.

Brisbane sits just south of the city line, and its weather is not a copy of the Sunset or Excelsior. This domain carries one San Francisco listing and two Brisbane listings. Rain in one place does not assign the other city's card a repair.

What you can see without sliding the machine out

After the cycle ends, wait a few minutes, then open the door. Note whether the water is a thin sheet or deep enough to cover the filter cap. Look at the door's lower edge for beads that were not there last month. Check the floor in front of the toe-kick with a dry paper towel. A damp towel means water left the cabinet. A dry towel means the leftover water is still inside the tub. Both facts belong in your notes. Neither one is a reason to pull the dishwasher forward. Sliding it out can pinch the supply line or the drain hose against the cabinet.

Cancel any urge to bail the tub with a cup and then run a second cycle "to see." A second cycle on a machine that is already holding water only adds more. Leave the door slightly open so the tub can air, and leave the breaker alone unless you smell something hot.

The rain itself is context, not a diagnosis. A house that just took a hard shower can have a slow drain in the sink even when the dishwasher is fine. If the sink is also slow, say that. If the sink drains normally and only the dishwasher holds water, say that too. Those are different reports.

Three cards, and they do not borrow answers

Chill Wave Technicians Work is the San Francisco listing at 182 Ashton Ave, ZIP 94112. The number is +14153634171. The name reads as cooling-related technician work. It does not list dishwashers. Dial that number only if Ashton Avenue is the card you mean, and ask whether a dishwasher is a machine they accept at that address.

LeeMah Electronics is at 155 S Hill Dr in Brisbane, +16504200087. An electronics name does not imply a dishwasher job. PSAV Presentation Services is at 185 Park Ln in Brisbane, +16502672133. A presentation-services name does not imply one either. If you dial Brisbane, say Hill Drive or Park Lane out loud so the two cards are not mixed. A reply from one Brisbane address stops there. It does not travel back up Ashton Avenue.

Upper floors and garden apartments are different reports

A top-floor kitchen can take wind-driven rain at the glass while the drain stack below is a separate story. A garden flat can see water at the back door that never reaches the dishwasher. Say which floor the machine is on if you know it, and say whether rainwater entered the room. Do not treat tub water and a soaked door mat as one event. They might be related. They might not. Whoever you dial can use the distinction. This article will not merge them for you.

A report you can read in one breath

Write four facts before you dial: the street you are calling about, how deep the water sat after the cycle, whether the floor towel came away damp, and whether the sink was slow during that rain. Read those four facts. Then ask if that listing takes dishwasher work at its published address. Stop there. Do not offer a part name you found on a forum.

What this article refuses to settle

No clock times are given. No dollar figure is attached. No star rating is borrowed. This text does not put a technician on a route, and it does not treat rain as an emergency that all three listings cover. If the tub water smells like burning plastic, switch the dishwasher off at its own controls and end the experiment. The phone call is still a question, not a work order.
